When I first started my business I was convinced I had to find my place — show up like a professional, pose with my laptop, dress the part. Because that's what the industry leaders were doing and they were the ones getting taken seriously, right?
What I didn't realise was I was building a version of myself that wasn't me at all. I was a reflection of pieces of other people's brands.
And the ironic part? I was good at what I did. I was supporting multi-million pound brands, by building content strategies, and being inside a top UK marketing agency, literally writing the content of the industry leaders you look up to.
The credentials were there. But every time I looked at my own content I felt completely disconnected from it. Like I was trapped inside an invisible rulebook I hadn't even chosen to follow.So I stopped following it. I decided to rebel against the version of myself I'd been performing and finally just fking be me.
I'm the creative strategist who takes everything you know, everything you've lived and everything you've been keeping trapped in your brain and turns it into content so unmistakably you, your dream clients couldn't scroll past it if they tried. Because the expertise is already there — it always has been. It just needs someone to pull it out of you and put it where it belongs, in front of the people who need it most.
